Stricktreffen im Mass Ave Knit Shop - Knitting Circle at the Mass Ave Knit Shop

Am 21.11.09 war ich zum ersten Mal beim Stricktreffen im Mass Ave Knit Shop.
Das ist ein riesiger Wollladen mit einem riesigen Angebot an Wolle, Strickbüchern, Strickzeitschriften, Accessoires, Zubehör,....Wow - der Laden war noch größer als der in Backnang.

At Nov 21st I went for the first time to the Knitting Circle at the Mass Ave Knit Shop.
It's a huge Yarn Shop with a huge offering of yarn, knitting books, knitting magazines , accesoires, needles,.... Wow, this shop is even bigger than the shop in Backnang.

Ich habe mich zurückgehalten und nur diese Wolle (Baumwolle), die Schalnadel und einen Reihenzähler (ohne Bild) gekauft.

I restrained myself and bought only two skeins of cotton yarn, a shawl needle and a Bulky Knit Count (without picture).










Das Stricktreffen hat Spaß gemacht - es waren ca. 20 Damen da und ich habe ein paar Ravelry-Damen getroffen und etwas Neues ausprobiert. Einen typischen amerikanischen Keks.

I had a lot of fun at the Knitting Circle - we were about 20 knitters and I met some ladies from Ravelry - and I tried something new. An American cookie.



Ich war skeptisch; denn einen Schoko-Erdnussbutterkeks ist für meinen Geschmack ungewöhnlich.
Nun, er schmeckte nicht so heftig nach Erdnussbutter wie ich anfangs dachte, aber Freunde werden wir trotzdem nicht.

I was sceptical because of the flavour: chocolate and peanut butter.
Well, the peanut butter did not taste as strong as I thought it would be but nevertheless I disrelished it.
